General terms and conditions
Château d'Arbérats applies the following general terms and conditions. These are in effect from the moment of booking up to and including your stay at Château d'Arbérats.
General
General Terms and Conditions apply to all users of Château d'Arbérats in Arbérats-Sillègue.
By confirming a booking, these General Terms and Conditions come into effect.
Marcel Driessen and Roan Raijmakers are the owners and managers of Château d'Arbérats, hereinafter mainly referred to as owners.
Rates
The rates shown are per room, per night and include breakfast for two people (via a booking site it is often without breakfast).
The rates shown include the use of water, electricity, and bath & bed linen. We are environmentally conscious and would appreciate it if you did not waste water unnecessarily.
The rates shown are inclusive of VAT (or similar tax) at the VAT rate applicable at that time.
The rates shown do not include the use of the bar and other services offered.
The rates shown exclude the costs of cancellation and travel insurance. We advise you to take out cancellation and travel insurance.
The rates shown are subject to price changes.
Reservation and confirmation
Your reservation is final once we have received your payment. You will receive a confirmation email from us.
Our reservation confirmations refer to these General Terms and Conditions.
Payment for private individuals
The reservation and accommodation costs at Château d'Arbérats must be paid in advance according to the payment terms indicated.
The owners can deviate from these conditions in consultation with the user. The rates can be found on our website.
Payment
Any additional costs for using the honesty bar and other services must be paid before departure.
The prices can be found at the bar.
Please pay electronically. We do not have cash or change available.
Cancellation and no show (not coming without cancellation)
Château d'Arbérats is a small company.
To protect our business and revenue, we have created cancellation policies.
However, we recommend that you contact us if you need to cancel!

If you are unexpectedly prevented from attending due to circumstances on the dates you have booked, we apply the following cancellation conditions:
In the event of force majeure, whether permanent or temporary, Château d'Arbérats is entitled to terminate the agreement in whole or in part or to temporarily suspend it without the guest being able to claim performance and/or compensation:
Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: threat of war, war, uprising, molestation, strikes, boycotts, disruptions in the energy circuit, in traffic or transport, government measures, scarcity of raw materials, natural disasters and furthermore all circumstances, extraordinary weather conditions.
Death of one of the owners or close relatives etc. under which full or partial compliance with the agreement cannot reasonably and fairly be required of Château d'Arbérats. This also applies in the event of termination of the business and/or sale of the property.
Changing your booking:
If a guest wants to change a booking, this can be done up to 21 days before arrival. The booking will not be cheaper than the original booking after the change.
If the reservation is transferred in its entirety to a third party, this must be communicated in writing by the first paying contact person at Château d'Arbérats.
Already paid amounts will be considered as a reservation amount for the third party, the remaining amount will then be paid by the acquiring party with the relevant payment term. The transferring party (the first to pay upon reservation) and acquiring party must arrange this among themselves.
Force majeur
- In the event of force majeure, whether permanent or temporary, Château d'Arbérats is entitled to terminate the agreement in whole or in part or to temporarily suspend it without the guest being able to claim performance and/or compensation.
- Force majeure includes, but is not limited to:
- danger of war, war, uprising, strikes, boycott, disruptions in the energy circuit, in traffic or transport, government measures, scarcity of raw materials, natural disasters and furthermore all circumstances, extraordinary weather conditions, death of one of the owners or close relatives etc. under which full or partial compliance with the agreement cannot reasonably and fairly be demanded of the accommodation. Of course we will do everything we can to provide you with new accommodation at that time. If you do not wish to make use of this, the costs paid will be credited to you.
Liability
Château d'Arbérats cannot be held liable for any damage suffered by the guest or third parties as a result of staying in the accommodation; the guest indemnifies Château d'Arbérats against any claims in this regard. Château d'Arbérats is not liable for disruptions in and around the accommodation, such as disruptions and failures of electricity and water supplies and technical installations, construction and/or road works in the vicinity of the accommodation that are not announced or announced too late. Château d'Arbérats is not liable for damage, loss or theft of personal belongings of the guest.
Château d'Arbérats can only be held liable for damage due to the gross negligence or neglect of the owners
The liability of the accommodation is furthermore always limited to the maximum amount that the insurer of Château d'Arbérats will pay out in the event in question.
The use of the swimming pool is at your own risk. Château d'Arbérats cannot be held liable for bodily injury or damage to personal property resulting from its use.
Injury.
The guest must behave properly and use the bed and breakfast accommodation in accordance with reasonable usage instructions given by the accommodation or the owners.
Guests are legally liable for any damage caused by him/her/them or his/her/their fellow guests to Château d'Arbérats or to any property or persons present therein.
Any damage must be reported by the guest directly to the owners. Repair and/or replacement costs must be reimbursed by the guest.
In case of loss of keys, all resulting costs will be charged to the guest.
